About Tillmann Lauterbach
Born in Bonn, Tillmann Lauterbach sees himself as German and Spanish, as he spent most of his childhood on the island of Ibiza. He later trained as a fashion designer and pattern cutter at Esmod Paris, where he won the women’s ready-to-wear collection prize at the end of his graduation year in 2003.
Between 2006 and 2015, Lauterbach’s fashion collections were showcased at boutiques like l’Eclaireur in Paris, H Lorenzo in Los Angeles, and Dover Street Market in London, Tokyo and New York and were featured in international publications such as Vogue (Paris, Italia, US), WWD, GQ, Elle, Interview, Wallpaper and the International Herald Tribune.
In 2014, Tillmann Lauterbach was in the Top Ten brands selected to compete for the prestigious LVMH prize. That same year, his brand was chosen as one of the Vogue Talents to exhibit their work at the international fabric trade show Milano Unica.
In addition to his namesake label, Lauterbach served as the creative director of the JNBY Group’s Croquis menswear brand between 2004 and 2009. From 2015 until 2018, he also was the creative director of the HEAD Sportswear brand owned by the Kolon Group in South Korea. In 2017 he founded the sustainable brand REVERB for the Jnby group, being Chinas most advanced eco brand on the market.
Outside of fashion, Lauterbach is active in the visual arts arena as well. His found-objects sculpture, collage and painting were featured in several group art exhibitions and two solo shows, blending fashion, art and design.
